New location strengthens regional coverage while a community roof giveaway marks the company’s arrival
Westfield, Massachusetts, 28 August 2026 – The roofing industry continues to see contractors expand into new markets as demand for residential and commercial roofing services grows. Adam Vaillancourt Roofing & Gutters has expanded into Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut, opening a new facility in Westfield and marking the move with a community-focused roof giveaway.
The company’s new 2,000 square foot facility in Westfield is its second location in Massachusetts and its first in Western Massachusetts. The expansion is expected to strengthen its presence across the Greater Springfield area and neighboring communities in Northern Connecticut.
As part of the expansion, the company is offering a free residential roof replacement to one local homeowner in need. The initiative continues a roof giveaway program that began in New Hampshire in 2017. According to the company, the program has previously provided 13 complete roof replacements at no cost to homeowners.
The latest initiative is also connected to a local community support effort. For every qualified nomination submitted for the roof giveaway, the company plans to donate $25 to Project New Hope, a nonprofit organization that supports veterans, active duty service members, and their families.
The giveaway reflects a broader trend in the home improvement industry, where contractors are increasingly combining business expansion with community programs. Roofing can be a significant household expense, particularly when an aging or damaged roof requires replacement sooner than expected. Programs that provide assistance to homeowners can help address some of that financial pressure.
The new Western Massachusetts operation will serve both residential and commercial customers. Roofing services in the region include roof inspections, repairs, replacements, storm damage work, gutters, skylights, and other exterior services.
The expansion is being led by Wes Melaas, who will oversee market development across Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut. His background includes experience in roofing, retail, and home improvement, as well as military service.
The move comes as roofing contractors continue to adapt to changing customer expectations, weather conditions, material costs, and demand for reliable building protection. Roofing companies operating across multiple markets are increasingly focused on combining technical expertise with local service and community engagement.
For homeowners, the condition of a roof remains an important part of protecting a property from weather-related damage. Regular inspections can help identify issues such as damaged shingles, leaks, worn flashing, drainage problems, and other conditions before they become more expensive repairs.
The expansion also highlights the importance of local access to roofing services. A stronger regional presence can allow contractors to respond more efficiently to maintenance needs, storm damage, and roof replacement projects.
Community members can nominate a homeowner for the Western Massachusetts roof giveaway through September 30, 2026. After nominations close, the company will review the submissions and select one homeowner to receive the donated roof.
The development shows how regional expansion can extend beyond opening a new facility. For the roofing industry, combining market growth with community support can create a stronger connection between contractors and the communities they serve.
