Sending Innovation to Bring Our Attachment Industry Back Out of its Stagnation

Ignite Attachments has officially expanded its lineup of construction equipment offerings to launch three new mini grapple attachments. According to certain reports, these attachments happen to be a new mini bucket, mini rock, and mini rake grapples, all available in 36- and 44-in. working widths. Talk about the whole value proposition on a slightly deeper level, we begin from Ignite’s brand-new mini bucket grapple, which like company’s line of full-size grapples, features a laser-cut Grade 50 steel design. This design, on its part, would go on to birth a tight fitting attachment with a long service life, while simultaneously boasting an ability to strike that balance between weight and strength. More on the same would reveal how the mini bucket grapple comes decked up with a grapple opening of 26.6 in. and a minimum height of 22.1 in, both the elements making up a big detail in the context of being able to maneuver across tight spaces. The design in question also, markedly enough, puts its single 2.25-in. bore by 1-in. rod cylinder behind the bucket, rather than on top, for protection in demanding applications. Now, once you take this whole mechanism and place it alongside your standard flat-faced couplers and full-length nylon hose sleeves, you can expect a service life much longer than what you get under a traditional setup.

“When it comes to working in the tightest spots, more and more people are turning to mini track loaders or skid steers,” said Trisha Pearson, business director for Ignite Attachments. “Ignite Attachments works to meet owners/operators where they are, not the pigeonhole our stagnant industry tries to put them in. We recognize the need for cost-effective mini solutions that are dependable, versatile and easy to use.”

Next up, we have the Mini Rock Grapple, which features many of the same base capabilities as our previous attachment, including Ignite’s dual interface. These capabilities, in essence, leverage its faceplate design to pair with both mini Bob-Tach and CII machines. Once the pairing is duly established, it allows for integration with mixed fleets or new carrier investments. Going by the available details, grapple opening on this offering is 25.9 in. with a tine spacing of 3 in. for rock and debris removal.

Our last piece of highlight comes from Ignite’s new mini rake grapple. This one features slightly wider tine spacing, 6.75 in. on the 36-in. model. Such an adjustment, although doesn’t feel like massive, treads a long distance to let the operator seamlessly remove debris, and that too, with significantly less soil disturbance. Joining the stated capabilities is a set of greasable pins and heavy-duty cylinder protection that again promotes service life in and around a range of different applications.

“Compact equipment owners and operators are constantly looking for easier, more cost-effective ways to get the job done,” said Pearson. “Our lineup of mini grapples are reliable, cost-smart and productive no matter your carrier brand. They’re designed to stand up to the toughest challenges and, when they outlast your existing machine, they’ll easily transfer to your new model.”
