Instagrid has officially announced the launch of Instagrid LINK portable power distributors, a solution which enables users to connect multiple power sources together for switching and increasing capacity. On top of that, Instagrid is also capable of extending the power associated with Instagrid’s flagship product in Instagrid ONE, and at the same time, enabling new and powerful applications across areas like events, film and media, construction and emergency services. More on the Instagrid LINK and Instagrid ONE combo would reveal how it can offer grid-like performance with a peak power output of 18,000W and a rated power output of 3,600W. Making the whole thing even more significant is its IP54 rating that instantly enhances its suitability in the context of thriving across several different weather conditions. To go with that, there is also in play a lightweight design. You see, while Instagrid LINK weighs somewhere around 4.5 kg, Instagrid ONE’s own weight is no more than 20 kg. This translates to how they can be easily transported around jobsites. Talk about the whole value proposition on a slightly deeper level, we begin from the promise of extended runtime. Considering users can simultaneously connect upto three portable power units to Instagrid LINK, they can access upto three times total energy capacity. In essence, if one unit runs out, Instagrid LINK would automatically switch to the next available unit, enabling seamless switchover and a disruption-free operation.
“Instagrid LINK is a transformative solution for customers seeking clean, mobile, high-performance power with increased runtime requirements. It combines diverse user needs from construction, events, film, and media into one compact and well-designed product. Our Research and Development and Sales teams have developed this product in collaboration with customers on-site. Hence Instagrid LINK directly addresses user demands, improves their working efficiency and opens up entirely new applications and ways of working,” said Andreas Sedlmayr, co-CEO and co-founder of Instagrid.
Building upon the previous feature, we must get into how the product is well-equipped to deliver continuous power at our disposal. This it is able to do on the back of a portable battery-based power supply to mains power, something which helps in setting up a mission-critical power supply. Hence, whenever there is power outage, Instagrid LINK can switch from the mains power to the portable power supply in under 20 minutes. Joining the same is a pledge to conceive optimal safety, a pledge which reveals itself once you take into account the product’s dedicated RCD-protection for up to three devices. Rounding up highlights is, of course, the Instagrid LINK’s integration with other Instagrid products. While the component in focus is an accessory for Instagrid’s flagship product Instagrid ONE, it can also be used with various combinations of 230V AC power supplies, empowering users to combine different products from different manufacturers.
“After innovating the world’s most advanced professional battery power supplies with unconstrained, grid-like power, we are now also taking the distribution of mobile power to the next level. Instagrid LINK is a smart, first-of-a-kind product that makes it easy for anyone to increase capacity for extended runtimes and seamlessly switch between different power sources. Additionally, it enhances user safety to the highest standards, with its three output sockets individually protected by RCDs,” said Sebastian Berning, co-CEO and co-founder of Instagrid.
