“On Time, On Plan, Beautiful!..Relentless Customer Responsiveness”

The story of StructureCast didn’t begin with precast concrete. It began with a decision—one that could have easily gone the other way. Nearly two decades ago, after selling a successful ready- mix concrete business, Anna Dezember, President and her husband Brent were left with a small, almost overlooked division: a modest precast operation. It wasn’t their core expertise, and walking away from it would have been the simpler choice. Instead, they chose to lean in, to understand it, and to build something meaningful from it. Today, that decision has evolved into StructureCast, a company that has not only grown beyond its origins but surpassed the scale of the business that once overshadowed it.

With over 30 years of experience in construction and manufacturing, StructureCast stands as a testament to resilience in an industry where many companies struggle to survive economic cycles. As Anna explains, “We’ve been through a lot of economic ups and downs where some construction companies and manufacturers just didn’t make it. And we’ve been able to do that and come out stronger.” That consistency has translated into a loyal customer base—one that returns not out of habit, but because of trust built over time. At its core, StructureCast operates differently from many competitors. It is not the largest precast manufacturer, nor the smallest. It occupies a strategic middle ground—large enough to handle complex, high-profile projects, yet agile enough to respond quickly. This agility is rooted in its structure. Decision-makers are directly accessible, allowing clients to bypass layers of bureaucracy and get answers when they need them. “When our customers need something, they’re getting right to decision makers,” Anna notes, highlighting a responsiveness that has become a defining advantage. And that means responsiveness internally too. One of StructureCast’s core values is “When we take great care of our people, they will take great care of our customers. People first always!”

From its centralized manufacturing facility in Bakersfield, California, StructureCast serves a broad geographic footprint, delivering products across multiple states and even internationally. Yet, despite this reach, the company maintains tight control over quality by producing everything within a controlled environment. Its advanced plant includes a certified quality control laboratory, enabling in-house testing that many competitors must outsource. This not only accelerates timelines but ensures consistent standards. The company’s capabilities extend far beyond traditional precast. StructureCast delivers a diverse portfolio that includes sound and security walls, insulated panel systems for buildings, structural components such as bridge beams, and highly customized architectural precast. It also produces prefabricated modular buildings—fully outfitted structures that arrive on-site ready for immediate use. Plumbing, electrical systems, fixtures, and finishes are all completed before delivery, transforming construction into a streamlined, plug-and-play process.

This approach addresses one of the construction industry’s most persistent challenges: coordination. Traditional projects require multiple trades working in sequence, often leading to delays and inefficiencies. StructureCast removes much of that complexity by consolidating work

within its facility. “We’re trying to go from cradle to grave full service,” Anna explains, describing a model where the company oversees everything from design and engineering to delivery and installation. The result is dramatically reduced on-site time—sometimes as little as one or two days for installation—allowing clients to move forward without interruption.

Time, in construction, is always under pressure. Delays can ripple across an entire project, affecting schedules and budgets. StructureCast has built its operations around this reality, guided by a clear philosophy, “on time, on plan, beautiful.” This commitment is supported by strong project management practices, advanced scheduling tools, and continuous communication with clients. Issues are addressed proactively, with Anna emphasizing a culture of transparency, “We want good news fast. We want bad news faster.” Beyond efficiency, the company also addresses logistical challenges that are often overlooked. Job sites today face increasing concerns around storage and security, with theft becoming a growing issue. StructureCast’s just- in-time delivery model eliminates these risks by ensuring products arrive exactly when needed. Clients no longer must manage materials on-site for extended periods, reducing both risk and complexity.

While functionality and efficiency are critical, StructureCast has also played a role in redefining how concrete is perceived. No longer limited to gray, utilitarian forms, precast concrete can now be a design element in its own right. Through custom molds, color variations, and advanced finishes, the company creates architectural solutions that blend performance with aesthetics. “People wouldn’t even know it’s necessarily concrete,” Anna notes, reflecting a shift in how the material is used and appreciated. This versatility is evident in the projects the company undertakes. From contributing to the high-profile One Beverly Hills development—where precision, logistics, and aesthetics converge in a densely built urban environment—to delivering exterior stairs for SoFi Stadium, StructureCast has demonstrated its ability to perform under pressure. In another project with Pacific Gas and Electric in San Francisco, the company helped transform industrial utility facilities into visually refined structures that better integrate with surrounding communities. These projects share a common thread: complex challenges, high expectations, and the need for tailored solutions.

Looking ahead, StructureCast is not standing still. The company is actively exploring geographic expansion, with potential additional manufacturing facilities in regions such as the Southwest, Northwest, and parts of the Mountain West. This growth will allow it to better serve markets that are currently at the edge of its reach. Equally important is its shift toward deeper collaboration in the design-build process. Rather than entering projects at the execution stage, StructureCast aims to engage earlier, working alongside architects, engineers, and contractors to develop precast solutions from the outset. This approach positions the company not just as a supplier, but as a strategic partner—one that helps shape projects before they take form. At every level, StructureCast reflects a balance of experience, adaptability, and forward-thinking. What began as a small offshoot of another business has grown into a company defined by its ability to solve problems, simplify complexity, and deliver results that meet both functional and aesthetic expectations. And in an industry where timing, precision, and trust are everything, that combination continues to set StructureCast apart.
