Blue Diamond Attachments has officially announced the launch of its brand-new standard and medium-duty 3-point rotary cutters. Expanding the company’s full-line of cutters, the stated introduction allows for cutting of overgrown grass, stalks, and light brush up to 1-in. thick. More on the same would reveal how this new line of Blue Diamond Attachments cutters packs together 12-gauge steel for the 4- to 6-ft. standard-duty models, and 10-gauge steel deck construction for the 7-ft. medium-duty model. Next up, we must acknowledge that the rotary cutters in question tend to boast heavy-duty steel bracing, something which enables them massively in the context of generating extra strength. Then, we have a balanced stump-jumper blade pan capable of protecting cutter blades from rocks, stumps, and roots. Joining the same is an assortment of heavy duty heat-treated free-swinging blades with suction lift. Markedly enough, these blades are ½-in. thick by 3-in. wide on the standard-duty, and ½-in. thick by 4-in. wide on the medium-duty. Then, there is a tapered round back design, which allows turns for maneuvering around trees or in tight spaces. The overarching development here even features a shear bolt through the input shaft on the 4- to 6-ft. standard-duty models. This shaft basically has its utility rooted in protecting the gearbox and driveline from damage. On the 7-ft. medium-duty model, though, the stated production is conceived by a slip clutch.
“Our new line of standard- and medium-duty rotary mowers enhances our product line of cutter attachments while providing a cost-effective solution for clearing areas of overgrowth,” said Drew Truan, chief operating officer at Blue Diamond Attachments. “We now have a full line of rotary cutters that allow tractor owners to choose the fit and performance that best fits their application and their budget — all supported by Blue Diamond and our dealer network.”
Moving on, Blue Diamond Attachments’ latest brainchild even brings to you a rear wheel adjustment, which one can leverage to set the height of the cutter, from 1.5 to 11 in. depending on the model. Hold on, we still have a few bits left to unpack, considering we still haven’t touched upon 15-in. laminated wheel design that is specifically built to sustain itself across a tough terrain. Another detail we haven’t yet touched upon is 3-point quick hitch-compatible hitch. This hitch, on its part, becomes useful when the agenda is to attach the rear-mounted rotary cutter to a compact tractor in a rather secure fashion. Rounding up highlights would be the gearbox technology in play which is manufactured through cast iron housings, with forged steel gears coming standard on all models. These gears are also rated for 45 hp on the 4- to 6-ft. standard-duty models, and if we talk about the 7-ft. medium-duty model, the same rating moves upto 65 hp.
